Wilpattu National Park Sri Lanka
Situated in the North-Western Province of Sri Lanka, extending into the North Central Province.
Approximately 180 km from Colombo and about 30 km west of Anuradhapura.
Wilpattu is the largest national park in Sri Lanka, covering around 1,317 km².
Famous for its “Willus” – natural sand-rimmed lakes (shallow rainwater ponds) that dot the park.
Known as one of the best places in Asia to spot leopards in the wild.

Leopard (Panthera pardus kotiya) – highest density of leopards in Sri Lanka.
Sloth Bear – a rare and endangered sight.
Asian Elephant – smaller herds compared to other parks but still present.
